Alliance Power was selected to install a 1,000 KW fuel cell cogeneration system at the Sierra Nevada brewery in Chico, California. The system consists of four 250-KW molten carbonate fuel cell modules operating on natural gas fuel capable of producing approximately 1.2 mmBTU/hr of 125 psi steam. Alliance Power provided complete privatization services for the project, including all permitting, design, construction, operation and financing.

The facility was operational in May 2005.
