El Estero Project

Alliance Power was selected by the City of Santa Barbara through a competitive bid process to install a 500 KW fuel cell cogeneration system operating on anaerobic digester gas at the El Estero Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project includes a fuel gas cleaning skid, two 250-KW molten carbonate fuel cell modules, and heat recovery systems to produce approximately 0.6 mmBTU/hr of hot water from the fuel cell exhaust.

Alliance Power is providing complete privatization services for the project, including all permitting, design, construction, operation and financing. The facility was commercially available in December 2004.
